Canva just added a major update — and it’s powered by none other than Google’s Veo 3 model.
The new feature, called “Create a Video Clip,” lets users generate cinematic-quality video clips with sound directly inside Canva. No prompt engineering, no backend setup — just simple, creative input and full AI video output.
How It Works
Inside Canva, head to the “Apps” section and choose Create a Video Clip.
From there, you can:
- Enter a short, natural-language description
- Generate 5-second AI videos in HD with sound
- Drop them straight into your Canva project — whether that’s a Reel, story, deck, or ad
It’s the easiest way to access Veo 3’s cinematic output without touching a dev tool or prompt interface.
Why It Matters
This is a big deal — not just for Canva, but for accessibility in AI filmmaking.
What used to require high-end tools and multi-step workflows can now be done on a laptop, in your browser, inside a drag-and-drop design tool.
