HELLO CREATORS,
Starting July 15, YouTube is tightening the rules: no more monetization for low-effort AI content.
That means:
– No more slideshow-style videos with zero editing
– No more AI voiceovers reading Reddit threads
– No more automated reaction clips without any commentary
If there’s no real human input, it won’t get paid.
What’s Still Allowed?
AI isn’t banned. You can still use AI tools — but you need to bring something to the table:
– Your voice
– Your point of view
– Original storytelling, editing, or insight
YouTube’s message is clear: make it meaningful, or it’s out.
Why This Matters
AI-driven content exploded over the last six months. In January, the biggest AI channel had ~2.5M subs and 220M views — not even top 20.
By June, four AI-heavy channels had racked up 23M+ new subs and over 800M views. The algorithm was favoring AI — hard.
Now, YouTube’s stepping in to rebalance things and protect creativity and trust on the platform.
This could change the game for both new creators and AI producers — especially those relying on shortcuts.
What do you think?
Is this a smart move… or a step backward for creators using AI responsibly?
Stay curious,
